About the union

The Union is an exhibitions and events venue in Houston’s Old Sixth Ward. We host community activities and programs in an effort to showcase the work of Texas creatives of all kinds, as well as make the space available for private events such as dinners, weddings, meetings, and other celebrations.

Operating out of a restored Victorian bungalow in the Arts District, we strive to provide a unique, beautiful space for a variety of activities while engaging the surrounding community with special events and programming that supports emerging artists.

The Journey Of The Artist - Dot & Wall

12.6.19 - 12.18.19

Dot & Wall is the result of passion and family love mixed with the poetry of art. Oliver, second generation of a family of artists, who grew up surrounded by different expressions of art, and Carolina -his partner in life, creative mind and art enthusiast- who fell in love with the emotions and vibrations that his family could generate though their work, shared the same dream of becoming boosters and catalysts of that unique and enigmatic connection between human beings and art. Art, in any of its forms, is one the most beautiful crafts in the world. What we do not know most of the times is the path that artists, creators of that mysterious form of energy, have walked to reach the point where they are. As in many other areas, there are many who start but few who succeed. For some, art came as a calling, but for others, it was a result of chance.
